Improving Sentences Worksheets: 40 sentence uplevelling trails at 2 levels to support students in writing more ambitious, complex sentences. Print as worksheets or laminate for regular use (with dry-wipe pens). Worked examples of extended sentences included.
Full Stops and Capital Letters Cards: 40 differentiated cards with an unpunctuated paragraph on one side and corrections on the other. They support students working out where sentences begin and end, to avoid fragments and run on sentences - a skill that often needs regular practice, even in Upper KS2. They are a great stepping stone to students more independently checking and editing their own writing. Instead of printing, display a card on screen for whole class completion. Answer versions can be shown on screen too for self- or peer-marking.
